I build tooling around public U.S. federal data. It's data that's public, but scattered across many different releases, and easy to get wrong if you're not paying close attention.

The standard's the same on every project: every figure names the file it came from, and every rate states its denominator, and if the data can't support a claim, I don't make it. That isn't a mission statement, it's just how the work has to be built to hold up properly if someone checks it.

Some of what I build is for lawyers. Some of it is for someone trying to choose a hospice for a loved one, and that part's free.
